Classes

The BLS Providers course teaches CPR skills for helping victims of all ages, including providing ventilation with a barrier device, a bag-mask device with oxygen, and use of an automated external defibrillator (AED); and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction. Intended for licensed and non-licensed healthcare professionals.

Healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies. This includes personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care, and critical care units such as physicians, nurses, and paramedics.

The goal of the PALS Course is to improve the quality of care provided to seriously ill or injured children, resulting in improved outcomes. To enter the course, students must complete the PALS Precourse Self-Assessment. Throughout the course, students are presented with 12 In-hospital pediatric patient cases and a team dynamics lesson. Upon successful completion of all the patient cases, students must pass the multiple-choice exam with a minimum score of 84%.

This course is designed to teach the skills of Adult First Aid (general principles, medical emergencies and injury emergencies), CPR/AED and relief of choking for adults and children. This course is a modular format that creates course flexibility. It is ideal for learners who prefer group interaction and feedback from an instructor while learning skills.

The PALS Skills Check is for anyone who has purchased and completed the Heartcode Online PALS course and only needs the skills check to receive their certificate. Please bring a copy of your Online Completion Certificate to class.  We provide a stress-free learning environment that promotes student success.  Feel free to contact us with any questions.
